Polarizing Cube Beamsplitter
Polarizing Cube Beamsplitters split randomly polarized beams into two orthogonal, linearly, polarized compoents. S-polarized light is reflected at a 90 degree angle while P-polarized light is transmitted. Each beamsplitter consists of a pair of precision high tolerance right angle prisms cemented together with a dielectric coating on the hypotenuse of one of prim
These cubes are designed to be used with the transmitted beam, which offers an extinction ratio of TP:TS > 1000:1. The reflected beam will only have an extinction ratio of roughly 20:1 to 100:1, depending on the beamsplitter
